John Mobley MD
Dr. Mobley and his Wife Tammy are both LAP-BAND patients. Dr. Mobley was motivated to become a full time gastric band surgeon after the overwhelming success his wife had after being banded in 2004 and his own success after being banded in 2006. To date they have lost over 190 pounds between them . Dr. Mobley feels so strongly about the success of the gastric band that he wants to be part of stomping out obesity one patient at a time.
Dr. John Mobley grew up in South Eastern Kentucky, graduated from Cumberland College and went on to the University of Louisville where he finished Medical School in 1990.
Dr. Mobley did his residency training in Cincinnati with Dr. Watkins. Dr. Mobley has spent the first 11 years of his career practicing general and vascular surgery in Greenville, Ohio.
Dr. Mobley is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Brad M. Watkins MD, FACS
After graduating from Western Kentucky University, Dr. Watkins received his MD degree from the University of Louisville. His surgical residency in Cincinnati provided extensive training in laparoscopic surgery. He has been in private practice since 1997 doing laparoscopic cases that now number in the thousands and is one of the few U.S. surgeons who has personally done well over 1,000 laparoscopic adjustable gastric band procedures . He is board certified, a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the Council for Advances in Bariatrics. After completing over 1,000 gastric band surgeries and publishing 5 gastric band articles in the U.S. surgical journals, Dr. Watkins now travels the country proctoring other band surgeons.
